Triview WordFormatter

Well-structured information with consistently modified format is of vital importance in setting up a properly functioning documentation system.
This is child's play for FrameMaker (and Interleaf) users. Most Word users, however, are hardly familiar with working with 'style sheets' and paragraph or character styles. They use the basic Word formatting functions. MS Word even has buttons and shortcut keys for overriding properties of assigned paragraph or character styles. Many Word documents are poorly structured as a result, and 'seriously contaminated' at the least. The importing of this type of document in a documentation system or in FrameMaker requires quite a lot of handwork.

Triview developed WordFormatter to address this issue. In this application, you can define a set of rules to automatically identify and convert assigned paragraph and character styles into usable formats in Word documents. This makes it much easier to import these documents into your documentation system. These conversion rules can also be saved in a script to be released later in similar Word documents.
